Football Gameplan’s 2010 NFL Offseason Outlook – Cincinnati Bengals

Sunday’s NFL roundup – NFL football, NFL Previews, NFL standings

After 40 years of being pushed around and dominated by the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Cincinnati Bengals refused to be bullied any more.

The Bengals beat the Steelers at their own game in their own stadium, relying on a defence that smothered Ben Roethlisberger and the Super Bowl champions by holding them to four field goals, and using one big special teams play for an 18-12 victory Sunday that put them in control of the AFC North.

Shayne Graham kicked four field goals in the second half even as the Bengals (7-2) failed to convert opportunity after opportunity to take control. Bernard Scott’s 96-yard kickoff return in the first quarter proved pivotal as Cincinnati, despite playing the second half without ace running back Cedric Benson and failing to convert on the extra point after Scott’s score, followed up a 23-20 win over the Steelers (6-3) on Sept. 27.

By sweeping the season series for the first time since 1998, the Bengals effectively

NFL Playoff Picks and Preview

NFL Playoff Preview and Picks The first round of the playoffs is set, the odds have been posted (all the home teams are favoured, as you might expect) and the Colts, Chargers, Vikings and Saints are all sitting at home watching to see who they face next week. NY Jets at Cincinnati Line: Bengals -2.5 Over/Under: 34 Following a Week 17 scrimmage that would best be forgotten, the New York Jets and Cincinnati Bengals square off this Saturday at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati. Online sportsbooks currently have the Bengals favoured by 2.5 points. BetRepublic.com covered this game extensively in their sports betting TV show on Thursday and their Football Blitz show which will be live on Friday.

While it’s been only three years since the Jets appeared in the post-season and four for Cincinnati, the Bengals are still taking some getting used to. Cinci was demolished 37-0 last week in New York, looking more like the team whose previous appearance

Brett Favre One Of The Best Quarterbacks In NFL History

Brett Favre One Of The Best Quarterbacks In NFL History

NFL fans could easily tell you a lot of facts when you ask them about the Green Bay Packer´s greatest player, their own Brett Favre. Some would even consider him to be the greatest quarter back to ever play the game. He has made countless records for himself such as most career passing touchdowns, most career pass completions, most career pass attempts, and most AP NFL MVP awards.

College Career

Like a lot of great athletes, Favre had a hard time during the start of his career. During college, he was offered a scholarship by Southern Mississippi. They offered him a defensive back position, but he instead insisted on playing quarter back. He finally had his break as a 7th string QB during the 2nd half of the 3rd game of his freshman year. He played with a hangover and even threw up during their warm ups but still managed to give his team a victory by completing two touch-down passes. This would signal the start of a promising career. Why There Is So Much Bad Behavior In The Nfl

The negative conduct of players in the NFL is at an all time high. As a former NFL player I have seen many incidents of bad player conduct both on and off the field. In this article I am going to discuss why I believe player conduct is getting worse every season.

First of all, the NFL player culture is evolving. When I came into the league in 1999, there were veteran players who would mentor you and basically take you in as their little brother. My mentors included Tony Siragusa, Ray Lewis, Jonathan Ogden, and other fantastic veteran players. Besides acting as mentors and team leaders, these veterans also made sure the young players behaved themselves and stayed out of trouble. Where the NFL is evolving now is that the average “veteran” player is only 28 years. The younger 21-23 year old players do not respect the older players because the older players are on average only 5-6 years older.

But here is the real problem. The young high

Denver Broncos – Football Stadiums Loved by America

Americans love the NFL just as they love baseball. It is not only the perfect time to eat hotdogs and popcorn while cheering on the stand, it is also the perfect time to give support for those people who are doing their best to give glory to their state. What is not to love about NFL? When in fact, it is the sport that gives you adrenalin rush and it keeps you on your feet every time a fumble occurs. Moreover, the best part in here is just being on the football stadium, with the sun shinning bright and the wind breezing on your faces, making a perfect blend of happiness as you cheer for your home team.

Yes, the stadium makes a big impact. The bigger the stadium, the more spectators you have. It is not only how the stadium looks like but also it is all about where the players are playing. They say there is a home court advantage when football players defend their name on their own field. There is a certain phenomenon in every sport where in ball games

The Innovators

Innovator-(noun)-Someone who introduces a new way of doing something : One who renews or creates a new style.

There have been many men who have added to the NFL game. Men like Vince Lombardi, the great motivator come to mind. Men like Hank Stram are thought of as well. No conversation about innovating and changing the way the NFL game is played could be had without mentioning coaches like Bill Parcells,Bill Belichick as well as Cleveland Brown coach Paul Brown.

In this article I have chosen to highlight 3 of the NFL’s all time innovators. George Halas, Bill Walsh and Tom Landry.

These three men have made strides and changes to the NFL game that still resonate in todays game and will continue right on up into the future.

George Halas

George Halas was probably the most important person ever associated with the Chicago Bears NFL franchise. Starting out as

The Most-Watched Sports Events of All Time

Americans have a reputation for knowing how to work hard and play hard. When it comes to sports, though, it seems that the lines between work and play become slightly blurred, as most Americans take their sport of choice as seriously as any job – faithfully tuning in to game after game on the radio and cable TV, though eventually upgrading their television sets and broadcasting systems to enable all of their favorite team’s matches and insider info in high definition via satellite TV, and of course schlepping the whole family and then some to weekend matches, tailgating included of course.

So what happens when a favorite sports team makes it to their league’s final match, competing for the top coveted position of best in the game? These sports fans go ballistic. But getting your hands on tickets for the playoffs and championship games in any sport is next to impossible. So fans tune in, like clockwork, on their TVs. And tune in they do. Read on for a

Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars is based in Jacksonville, Florida. They are currently members of the South Division of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL). The Jaguars, along with the Carolina Panthers, joined the NFL as an expansion team in 1995.

The club has played all of its home games at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium located near the St. Johns River. The team’s headquarters also located in the stadium.

In 1995, along with the Carolina Panthers, the Jacksonville Jaguars entered the NFL as the first expansion teams in almost 20 years. Both teams participated in the 1995 NFL Expansion Draft, with the Jaguars taking Steve Beuerlein, who quickly lost his starting job to Mark Brunell, with the first pick. The Jaguars finished their inaugural season with a record of 4–12. Both the Jaguars and the Panthers (7–9) broke the previous record for most wins by an expansion team (3) set by the
